Location and bed!
Stayed in a few Salas - and while they clearly have shared standards on bedding and architecture - felt this one was a real outsider for guest service. The main factor is that the restaurant gets busy with non-guests but the staff don’t tell you to reserve a table.
Drilling was from breakfast to sunset so the pool wasn’t relaxing. The bedroom view was of a white wall. Staff repeatedly ask you to fill in Google reviews throughout your stay. Just ask at the end of the- it’s cheap!

Great architecture and nice rooms. The restaurant has a great view if the rooftop is cozy.
Prices for drinks and food are way above local standards. It’s okay that a hotel is asking more than a local restaurant but here it is just more expensive than in Germany. The team is friendly but not as kind as I am used to in Thailand.
