The Miran Tour of Herzegovina made my trip significantly more meaningful. Learning about Miran’s experiences before, during, and after the war gave me a deeper appreciation for the resilience of the people and added so much context to everything I experienced.
Overall, the stay was pleasant, but there are a few things that could improve the experience:
-!Limited common space: The only common area was outdoors, which could be challenging during very hot or rainy weather. Guests would otherwise be limited to their rooms or need to leave the hostel. Even adding an umbrella or some temporary weather protection could help.
- Limited bathrooms: There were only two bathrooms for the entire hostel. I only had to wait a few times during my stay, but I imagine this could become a bigger issue during peak season.

What can I say? The minute you walk through the doors, you become part of Miran's family. Easily one of the most social hostels I have every stayed in. All you have to do is sit in the courtyard and friendships blossom like the vineyard contained within the walls. Miran is a kind host, but a no nonsense proprietor. Do not come here to be a problem. He fought for Bosnia during the war, so he is not afraid to put some rowdy 20-somethings in their place. Location is very close to the Old Town (12 minute walk) and various "beaches" to enjoy the river. Local convenience store is 3 minutes away. A/C was especially good during the 40C degree heatwave. Come here to enjoy a relaxed place and waiting friends.
Family hostel with family amenities. Not a huge place but has what you need if you don't mind waiting a little bit.

Easy check in, great staff, nice family business, spotless clean facility, perfect location. The tour was incredible, the best one I've taken. Really an exceptional hostel!

Very convenient location and love the friendliness of the host and staff. Met amazing people, the stay was overall fantastic! Host offers a guided tour where travelers can learn some of Mostar's history from a local point of view.
