Excellent location if you have your own transport..a short trip from central Wanaka, in peaceful, attractive grounds. Would be gorgeous in summer. Spacious and attractive room nicely furnished with king-sized comfy bed, very nice ensuite and own patio. Easy access on the flat to carpark so moving our luggage very simple. WiFi good, flat screen TV and streaming Netflix etc easy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent parking on property close to accomodation.
Not really a problem but no kitchen facilities in actual room. They are very close however - just down corridor outside the room in a communal area that has a kitchen and good tea/coffee making facilities. You can eat in lounge area or take a cuppa back to your room. We got great takeout food from The Fig in Wanaka and enjoyed them whilst binging on a good movie. Very clean and well-equipped kitchen area and attractive lounge. We just hadn't realised that the facilities were separate from our room from the online information.
Due to countryside location water-saving restriction in place in that the water is shut off from 1am until 5am. Wasn't an issue for us but night owls should take it into account.

Beautiful surrounds and property
It was very cold at night, you have to have the heatpump going. Advertised with electric blankets but none on bed, super thin duvet, no extra blankets at all & no mattress topper. Zipper King so you could feel the zip and the mattress tilted on an angle, i slept very little. WIFI was terrible. No glasses in room to have a water, although i appreciate the rooms are not designed to be used individually, rather the lodge exclusively for a group for example.
