Well located at the entrance to the old town with direct views of the river
The building is very old and although the bathroom had been recently updated the hotel room itself needed renovation. The aircon did not work very well and room fridge was broken.

The hotel was lovely with an assortment of fascinating artifacts such as suits of armour and a stuffed polar bear! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were cycling and were able to lock our bikes in their garage. The terrace looks out over the start of the Rhine; it was a lovely place for an evening drink or breakfast.
We hadn't paid for breakfast in advance and I don’t think the hotel staff were expecting us to attend on Wednesday morning. We made the mistake. What was left was paltry. It turned out to be expensive for the fayre on offer. With hindsight, I think things might have been better had we booked breakfast in advance especially as the hotel closed early on Wednesdays.

lovely old hotel with character and right in middle of town
our room was by road and very noisy- as there is no air con needed window open or close it and over heat. Poor nights sleep. A chance at a good night sleep is a basic for a hotel. I
