This was a pretty good budget accommodation in the Centro Historico area of Asuncion. The rooms were sizeable and everything worked fairly well in them. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but they weren't bad. Good enough to get a decent night of sleep. The free breakfast in the morning was a bit on the basic side, but there was enough to fill you up and get you the caffeine needed to start your day.
The location was pretty good; close enough to the Centro Historico and all the attractions there, but far enough away where it was a bit more quiet and relaxing. The staff didn't speak any English (which seems to be the norm in Paraguay) but they were friendly and helpful. For the price, I think it was a pretty good value.
The rooms I stayed in were on the 2nd floor, which required walking up a steep and narrow staircase since there isn't an elevator. Not ideal if you have heavy luggage or hate stairs. The bathroom sink had an infuriating on switch like a public bathroom, where you have to keep pressing a button every few seconds to get the water to come out of the tap. I understand wanting to save water, but this went a bit too far in my opinion. Although I think this area was probably pretty safe, it was very dark and desolate feeling at night, so when coming back in the evening I always felt a bit uneasy.

The hotel was close to the temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. We traveled to Ascension to attend an early morning session. It was close to many of the things that we needed.
We stayed for such a short time did not really have time to see anything we did not like
