Excellent location, walkable to the town's many restaurants, cafes, shops and weekly market. The host was extremely welcoming and friendly, giving us very helpful suggestions on what to enjoy in Swellendam and the surrounding towns/area. It was such a pleasure chatting to Etienne with his vast knowledge of the history of the town. Many thanks to him and his family for being such amazing hosts at their beautiful home.

We booked 2 hrs before arrival and Etienne our host make us feel at home immediately.Our room was very homely ,comfortable bed with warm electric blanket on a cold evening .Although we just slept over ,lovely place to linger longer.

Cypress Cottage was well located. I love the beautiful gardens. Room was clean.Very friendly hosts.
I didn't like that there was no TV available in the family room. The beds were very uncomfortable and noisy. I really didn't like not being informed that people will be entering my space cleaning the room.
