The rooms were big, it was clean, the breakfast was great, but I don't think i would come back. The staff was super friendly, i loved them, i would come back for them, because they were great aswell as the breakfast was great. The room has a hot shower but you have to pre heat it for at least 30min. The room is big and spacious, AC is not available, but a fan is.

The hotel itself is a nice place, but unfortunately there were several things during our stay that left a very bad impression and are the reason I probably would not come back. My biggest issue was the feeling that we were treated more like a dollar bill than valued guests. By “they”, I mainly mean the owner, who sets the prices. For example, the transfer to Mombasa for a day trip was €60 one way, €90 for the return, and €120 if you wanted to stay longer than six hours. We simply checked Uber ourselves and found that it was around $35 one way, so we used Uber instead. I would strongly recommend doing the same rather than paying the hotel's transfer prices. The dive center, which is part of the hotel, was another major disappointment. We had some of our own equipment, but if you don't have your own equipment apart from the tank and weights, you have to pay the full equipment rental price. I understand that equipment rental costs money, although I personally find their pricing quite excessive. What bothered me more were some of the things that happened around the diving itself. I know that I get motion sickness on boats, so I brought my own medication that I have been using for years and know works for me. Nevertheless, they wanted me to use their medication instead and pay extra for it, of course. We were also taking malaria medication that we had discussed with our doctor at home, who specifically recommended that we take it in the evening so that it would not interfere with diving. Despite this, the dive center was very reluctant to let us go diving. This was particularly strange to us because we had gone diving with another company in Watamu just two days earlier without any problems whatsoever. Eventually, they cancelled our dives because they said the ocean was too rough. What made this particularly frustrating was that, from our perspective, it was actually one of the nicest days we had in Diani. The ocean looked calm and the weather was beautiful.
