Poor experience, way below expectations. End up staying only one out of the two nights we paid for.

The location is good, walking distance to cafés and restaurants. 15 mins walk to train station, Cascais beaches and big supermarket. The house is well decorated we some interesting art work.

The house is located right next to one of the main roads to access Cascais which was super noisy at night, the fact that we had to sleep with the windows open, made it even worse. There’s no aircon in the house and as the rooms are on the second floor, the small and dusty fans provided by the owners are not enough to make it comfortable to sleep. The bathroom door doesn’t shut properly and the fan inside the bathroom sounds like a diesel engine. All these issues were reported to the owners and there’s no solution offered neither a refund for the second night we end up having to rent a room at a local hotel. The place has good potential, but it definitely needs maintenance and a refresh.

Beautiful, quirky and well loved home- a pleasure to stay.

Beautiful quirky space that is clearly loved and looked after. The owners live next door so hand over the keys and make sure you are happy then leave you alone. They have been renting for 15 years so are knowledgeable and helpful and we loved chatting to them on arrival to get some tips. Very clean and quirky home that we felt very comfortable In with a cute private garden.

Worst experience ever!

Upon booking this unit, I noticed that it was not advertised having air conditioning. I specifically asked before booking, in which I was told the bedrooms had air conditioning. The reason I booked was mainly for this purpose, also because of the location, close proximity to the beach. Upon arriving, the unit had no air conditioning and I was told the air hasn’t worked in over 2 years. The bedrooms were located on the second floor and it was very very hot. The fans provided not only were aged, but had a ton of dust, seems they have been used or cleaned in a very long time. The unit appears way better in the photos. The kitchen was very very small, the stairs to the second unit are not kid friendly and there was no privacy in the bathroom as the door did not shut. The unit is very small and sufficient for a family of 3. I was traveling as a family of 5, were we there for a soccer tournament and traveled during the months of July. It was extremely hot. The air conditioning was something we were looking forward to. When we talked to the owner regarding our concerns, he had no remorse and stated the air hasn’t worked in years. I showed him the conversation in which I specifically asked if the rooms were air conditioned and he totally disregarded the proof. We were unable to stay and had to find an alternate location. The owner refused to refund me for misleading me regarding the ac. This was a very unfortunate experience and I wouldn’t recommend this unit to anyone.

No air conditioning as stated, very outdated, very small, kitchen could fit 1 person comfortably, bedrooms located on the second floor, stairway is not kid friendly, fans were old and dusty and no ventilation throughout the unit. No privacy in the bathroom. The unit is okay for 2 people, who don’t mind being without airflow. This unit would probably be more comfortable anytime other than the summer months. Only one outlet upstairs worked.

looked better in photos, the place was a bit worn n could do with an upgrade if going to charge more money for stays. could do with new pillows but very clean and fine for a few nights.
