Very friendly staff, comfortable bed, good shower, good kitchen facilities for what we needed for two nights. Parking was good.
Quite dated and small TV but still fine.

The staff were fabulous, directing me to my room when the main office was closed, but a clear note was on the door. I got looked after straight away and given my milk and told about the restaurant open hours. I came back to the restaurant later and had wonderful service and a delicious meal. And I had time for a walk across the bridge into Wairoa before it got dark.
Probably something I should have throught about but the bridge was a bit loud with the trucks going over especially at one stage in the morning - just needed to have bought my earplugs!

Overall, it was a basic, nice stay for what we paid for.
I did book for 8 x people, however there were only 4 x single beds and 1 x Double or queen bed. The larger bed accommodated 1 adult, 2 children aged 10 and 11, and a 2 year old.
I wasnt happy about that.
