The view is absolutely stunning, I could of watched the boats go past all day . Badgers come out in evening & lots of different birds around too .

The shower wasn’t the best it was either boiling hot or just warm . The furniture was very dated .

The views

The beds were comfortable but the rest of the place was dirty ,cobwebs, tops of the kitchen cupboards were dirty mould in the fridge, freezer door fell of when it was opened and was mouldy. The shower head leaked all over the place even out the sides of the head when turned on, tried to clean it and found the inside full of black mould (dangerous )I had to buy a new one for us to use ,but did not leave it when I left and replaced the original it is not my Job to buy shower heads. The hoover needs replacing as the top does not fit correctly and is loose to be quite honest it does not pick up. To dry swim ware and towels there is a rotary but no hole to put it in infact it was in the bedroom ??? I understand the owners live on the main land and it is obviously left to a local cleaner, to be honest they need to visit more often . The visitors book back in 2016 mention the dodgy shower and should have been seen to before 2022.. It could be a beautiful little place if the upkeep was applied correctly.. so sad 😔

Lots of cobwebs, dead spiders and dust around the higher parts of the house and behind the curtain rails. Shower is ancient and not very clean as there was a spider and cobweb in the bath. No toilet roll or towels and no shower things. Ceiling light in the living room didn't work and neither did the desk lamp in the bedroom. Instructions to leave linen in the provided black bag when we left, no bag provided.

Received no information about what number the chalet was, and there were more than 1 chalet called 'Solent View'. Luckily the cleaner was helpful and I also had to call Cottages 4U to ask what number the chalet was and request the code for the key safe. Luckily we had arrived during working hours, otherwise we would have been in trouble. Shower did not work well and was dated.

Good views and sunsets. Quiet location at that time of year (mid- September). Clean, compact and functional.
