Wat een fantastisch mooie plek! Uitzicht over de wijngaard en de heuvels van Kent, gelegen aan de oude pelgrimsroute naar Canterbury. De cottage is perfect! Heel schoon en een heel warm welkom door de eigenaar met allemaal lekkers in de koelkast, echt fantastisch! De cottage vormde een fijne uitvalsbasis voor bijvoorbeeld dagtripjes Londen; zo konden we de drukte van de stad opzoeken en toch ook de rust van het platteland opzoeken.

This is our second stay at Fig cottage, we’ve now experienced Summer and Winter and had totally different trips with regards to the seasons, both lovely in their own ways but in terms of relaxation it really is a gem of a place for us personally to be able to come and switch off and rest but also be close by to lots of places we enjoy visiting, this time however we spent a lot of time at the cottage just wintering and enjoying log fires and puzzles etc. Hester and her family are lovely hosts and really make you feel welcome and are happy to help with anything. Hester provides a lovely welcome package that is always very much appreciated.

The description of this place does not give anything away, we weren’t expecting all that we arrived to at all, Fig Cottage is amazing! We had the best time here, Hester is a great host who is so welcoming and helpful, the welcome pack was very generous! The children (4 & 7) loved having so much land to roam, play on tree swings etc, collecting eggs and fruit everyday and playing with the dogs. Gutted we didn’t get a chance to do the wine tasting which Hester also provides in the vineyard but we very much enjoyed the bottle of the wine which was provided in the welcome pack that I had to buy my mum a bottle to take home. There’s a lovely pub at the end of the road where the staff are very friendly. It’s ideally located for all the places we like to go visit when we’re down in Kent but if you don’t go anywhere you have so much to do at the cottage whether that’s walking/relaxing/wine tasting/playing games provided or on the outdoor play equipment. The cottage is well done, it has a small but well equipped kitchen, it’s cosy, has everything you need. We had a great time here and look forward to staying again in the future.

The cottage is very well set up and surrounded by beautiful countryside. I received a very warm welcome by the owner and a very generous welcome pack. It was wonderfully cosy to be able to sit by a log fire in the evening.
