The internet was very good.
The breakfast was the same thing every day.There was no fruit at all.I mean, it could have been better.That's all they could have used different things plus they ran out of butter as well towards the end.I mean, I wish they would have done something different by giving us.Maybe I don't know eggs and cereal every day or something like that.I just think the breakfast could have been done for the same price.But just switched around you know

We found this hostel because we were travelling from El Chalten, doing a day trip to Moreno glacier on the same day, before staying the night at Calafete. It felt like leap frogging when we were planning but it worked out well because we saw Matices hostel across the street from the intercity bus terminal at Calafete. It made all our timing work and between the conveniences and efficient facility and was the right decision to book there. Leandro at the front desk helped us booked boat tickets at Moreno glacier and helped store our bags, Allan had great recommendation for dinner. Lukus helped us book a shuttle to the airport. We had an early flight the next day, the front desk opened breakfast earlier, the bread arrived fresh (croissant were excellent). Our room was clean, with our own bedroom, individual beds (we were a party of 3).
The hostel is next to intercity bus terminal which is excellent for travelling in and out of the city, but the intercity bus terminal is a 15 minute walk into commercial areas of Calafete. This edge of town didn't consistently have sidewalk or streetlight at night, so at night some parts looked dark and deserted but we noticed there were quite a few people also walking on the streets so we weren't actually alone. If you're concerned, it's worth catching an uber back at night for the peace of mind. Despite this inconvenience within the city, I find it well worthwhile for the high convenience of getting in and out of the city itself. It doesn't get more convenient than staying next to the intercity bus terminal.

Perfect location as It was just across from the bus station. We were coming in from Puerto Natales in the evening and leaving for El Chalten the following morning.
It was quite noisy until around 11:30pm, although earplugs helped. Breakfast is just a weak coffee and 2 small croissants
