The accommodation was brilliant. Facilities were excellent. Beautiful fireplace. Nothing lacking.
Huge puddle right by the doorstep. at least 3 inches of water to wade through to get at the porch. Puddle had disappeared the next day, but no fun wading through water with all your luggage. Was a wet very cold day when we arrived.
While the fireplace was a godsend because of the temperatures all weekend, the heat never reached the bedrooms or bathroom. And having to refill the wood box twice a day, once in the morning and again at night, before you could get warm was a chore. Thank heavens the bathroom had a heater, otherwise it would have been very cold while showering. There was a portable electric heater, but even that struggled to warm the bedroom up.
