Walkers retreat is absolutely beautiful. The facilities are perfect. You feel very relaxed . The gardens are beautiful. It is very peaceful all you can hear are the birds and the occasional moo, baa or neah. There were fresh eggs and milk waiting for us in the fridge which was a nice surprise and there is plenty of washing up liquid,washing powder, soap , shampoo and shower gel. I would highly recommend this little haven

Lovely accommodation in an amazing location

The location is amazing! The area is absolutely beautiful -- what a view to wake up to. The host was lovely and welcoming, and the accommodation was so cute and had everything we needed.

Peaceful with beautiful walks on Dartmoor

The bed was very comfortable, everything you could possibly need was provided. It is in a. beautiful setting.

Perfect location for exploring Dartmoor.

Location perfect with amazing walks on the door step. Wonderful views from the property and garden. Hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area.

Very nice accomadation at a fair price

Very very well equipped with all kitchen items you could ever need. Lots of towels Bed was huge and super comfortable with lovely bedding Fresh milk and eggs waiting for us

Sofa was it appeared quite old and not comfortable for very long

Great location and exceptional facilities.

Everything. It was very clean and had all the necessary facilities and more, especially in the kitchen and the bathroom. Location is amazing, in a small, quiet village and right in the heart of the national park and on the edge of the moors themselves so you can go walking straight from the front door, with plenty of other walking options within a 15-20 minute drive.

Lovely location and great place to stay

Lovely views and setting. Came equipped with everything you might need (or forget), blender, flask, robes, body wash…. Beds super comfy and large with really good quality bed linen. near a pub and small shop.

Lovely walks

Very cosy and comfortable bed , everything you need from utensils to books . Lovely walks , tearoom down rd , pub five minutes,everyone we met was really friendly.

Ha ha I didn't mind but partner said hills to long and steep .

the views, so clean ,everything you needed in the property, couldn’t ask for more, so peaceful, comfortable and we felt at home there, the whole place ,surroundings are stunning and our hosts were so helpful and we will go back again , such a beautiful place to safe, we loved walkers retreat and give it thumbs up all the way ..thank you so much for a wonderful break away :))

Cosy with amazing scenery

There wasn't anything we didn't like!

The views were spectacular, the area was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and taking in the peace and quiet. The accommodation was comfortable and we had everything we could have needed to enjoy our stay.

A little gem

Very well appointed, felt like a home away from home. The location is fantastic for exploring the moors, and the apartment comes with a gorgeous view. The hosts were lovely, very attentive in sorting out a tiny issue. Would definitely recommend.

A perfect base to explore Dartmoor.

The accommodation was excellent, everything was provided to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. from a king size bed to a washer-drier. Samantha and Alex were perfect hosts, friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from the property.

Absolutely fabulous

Amazing place to stay the bed was the most comfortable we have ever had in hotels etc We had our show dogs with us Long haired unfortunately the weather was not favourable for much walking

Everything was great no complaints Just a little advice that when coming out the property at night it was very dark could do with some extra lighting for the steps up

Short Break at Walkers Retreat

Perfect property, perfect location. Very clean. Very well equipped and everything you need for a short break. Beautiful views and use of the garden. Friendly hosts.

Didn’t realise the local pub was closed which was a shame as have to drive to the nearest one. Would recommend a more comfy sofa 😉

The location was beautiful! The accommodation was really comfortable and cosy. Lovely large garden belonging to the owners that we were allowed to walk in and take our dogs in also, the views were stunning. Would highly recommend, we will be back!
