Penzion U Bernardýna is tucked in the countryside. If it were closer to a town they could charge a lot more because the place is exceptional. The room was big and wonderful, with all the facilities one receives in a 4-star hotel, including a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee making facilites, glasses and cups etc. The en-suite bathroom equally so. The attention to detail in both rooms is outstanding, with a lot of thought gone into this by the owners. It is a quiet place surrounded by wonderful gardens, plus a lake with geese. We were travelling back home, hence just the one-night stay. I actually thought it a shame that I wasn't writing a book, or had taken a few days' work with me, because it is so comfortable and would be an ideal place to stay for a few days or longer. Breakfast was yummy, which included the wonderful Czech rye bread with caraway seeds. We also received an additional treat of fresh donuts.
