The breakfast was very good but so was the evening meal we had... freshly cooked. W had heard that the food was excellent at Lifton Hall before we booked. Not the usual 'pub fare' What I also liked was the subtle replacement of our tea bags on the second day so we could have a cuppa prior to going out again for the evening do...a nice touch
The location was excellent for the wedding we were attending
The guys who owned the place were very friendly

La struttura e' in un piccolo paese vicino a Launceston. Scelta come sosta verso la Cornovaglia. Siamo stati veramente bene perche' lo staff e' stato molto gentile e la camera era veramente grande.
Colazione buona.
Abbiamo anche cenato nella struttura ed e' stata un ottima idea. Buono anche il ristorante.

We were very late arrivals on our first night but Robert was at hand to check us in and show us to our room. The room size was exceptional. We had returned from a holiday in IOS where the room size was way too small so to get a room of this size was music to our dogs ears. The Hotel was quirky and we had very enjoyable stay with Richard and Robert who were excellent hosts. The dog walk down the lane opposite was ideal for walking our dog alongside the river and the exercise field. The Hotel was OK for value but we did get the breakfast thrown in. The food that we had was good too.
Due to the hot weather we had to leave our windows open and there was quite a lot of noise from a neighbour banging at 1 o'clock in the morning which disturbed our sleep.

The outside of the building is stunning we had a lovely welcome but the breakfast waiter is not very friendly. He appears irritated all the time like you’re an inconvenience. The place is dated inside and the bar closes at 9 pm so later drinks you have to go to the neighbour hotel which is much better all round. For the price this is expensive. No fridge in your room and mirrors aren’t near plugs. Not what we expected for the money.
The place needs updating and overpriced. Not the most welcoming
