The location is amazing. They have well tended gardens and outdoor areas where you can enjoy the lake views. The rooms are near the lake so you hear the waves as you sleep. Good gym and pool facilities too. Breakfast was good as well and staff were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the room itself is not worth the price charged. It lacks many amenities in the bathroom. 1. The bathroom itself needs to be redone because it is not the standard for a hotel of this caliber. 2. Bottled water is only provided on the first day of your stay. For the rest of the stay you have to buy water. Siavonga is a hot location so this is very strange. First time I have stayed anywhere where water isn’t complementary. 3. Sockets are not situated in areas where it’s easy to reach devices. The lamp sockets for example are behind the headboard. 4. The rooms have large glass doors which are great for the views but terrible for privacy. They can add a privacy tint so that you don’t have to close the curtains when sitting in the room during the day. You still get to see the view but people outside the room don’t see you. 5. Overhead Fan wasn’t working. 6. The mirror that was there was removed and never replaced. Bathroom mirror needs replacing.
Overall for this price, I was disappointed by the state of the room. The view compensated to a small extent.

The pool area was nice especially at night, it was quiet and the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was tasty and filling

A great location with chalets overlooking Lake Kariba. The gardens are well maintained & very pretty. Staff are friendly & the food choices were good. The pool & restaurant area are pleasant. We would not return to this hotel and would stay next time across the bay in Kariba Inns which was superb!
The rooms are very basic with need of upgrading - broken old furniture, lamps that are faulty, sliding doors that don’t appear that secure. The bathrooms were the biggest disappointment with a glitter green sink, cracked & stained toilet & poor shower that leaked and barely worked, broken & chipped tiles. We felt little investment is being made towards the accommodation but a lot of extra revenue is being spent towards conference facilities. Building work from 8am was noisy around the pool area as a large conference room & new kitchen are being erected which will apparently take 2 more years!! Lots of conference people around the facilities, enjoying a buffet lunch, so we felt a little out of place playing in the pool in swimwear. Sadly there aren’t fishing facilities to hire equipment & they were unable to recommend anywhere local. Prices for boat tours were expensive & disappointing as boats were moored up doing nothing!
