Super verblijf!

Cees (Nederlandse man) en zijn vrouw (Srilankaans) zijn ontzettend lief en gastvrij. We hebben dankzij heb een enorm goede en fijne start van onze reis gehad! Ze denken mee, geen vraag is te veel. We raden het enorm aan om hier je reis te beginnen!

Muy bonita y con un patio interior lleno de pajaritos

Todo genial! El sitio es muy cómodo, tiene una cama maravillosa y grande, pájaros, la familia te trata muy bien. Ducha caliente, tuk tuk al pueblo me costó entre 300 - 500 rupias (entre 0,81 y 1,42 euros). Todo muy bien

Heerlijke start vd vakantie

Cees de eigenaar heeft ons op meerdere manieren goed geholpen (regelen van een simkaartje, een tuk tuk en geld bij hem kunnen "pinnen"). Al met al een fijne eerste dag waarna wij goed voorbereid onze reis kunnen beginnen.

Er hing een airco maar hij deed het tijdens ons verblijf niet. Deze werd gemaakt toen wij weg gingen.

Fue nuestra primera habitación en Sri Lanka, y la verdad esque estuvimos genial. Súper para descansar después del largo vuelo. Muy buen trato de los dueños. Y a destacar el desayuno, que nos encantó! :)

No volvería, bastante caro para lo ofrecido

El propietario se dio cuenta que no estábamos cómodos e intento ser amable

No me parecio correcto el trato recibido. A nuestra llegada, ya al final de la tarde se empeñaban en que dejáramos nuestras cosas en un salón y que a la vuelta de cenar nos daban la habitación. Como no me parecía correcto y además queríamos usar el baño insistí para que nos dieran nuestra habitación. Finalmente nos mandaron a otra casa y a otra habitación distinta a la reservada y ante nuestra queja nos dijeron que se trataba de un error y nos dieron la habitación reservada. La habitación y el baño no están realmente limpios y la casa es bastante caótica, con mucha gente, sin intimidad prácticamente, además la propietaria no paraba de gritar, en vez de atendernos bien ya que tuvimos que preguntar hasta donde estaba la llave de la habitación. Apenas dormimos ya que por la noche había ruido de fiesta alrededor y también nos despertaron a las 5 de la mañana los propietarios y unos clientes hablando bastante alto sin respetar el sueño de los demás. Tambien insistieron mucho en llevarnos al aeropuerto, tuve que decirles varias veces que no ya que el precio es bastante más alto que un taxi normal. El agua de la ducha no sale caliente tampoco. El desayuno es muy normal y además está todo lleno de mosquitos. Me parece un alojamiento bastante caro para las comodidades que ofrece y la atención recibida.

Oaky for short stay for the price.

Friendly we were there for less than 12 hours stay. It is prefect for a short stay for a couple. Family helpful to get any kind of transportation. Good suggestion for eating out. Easy walk to Beach street and the restaurants in Negombo.

Being a Homestay would like the living room to be cleaner.

Great place for an overnight after arriving into Bandaranaike International Airport. My kind host, Cees, was there to pick me up, and he also assisted me with my onward transportation. He and his wife Chandi are very welcoming and the simple house with pretty garden is indeed a “home from home”.

A relaxing and homely place to stay after a tiring flight.

I was picked up from the airport and allowed to check in early, Cees and him family were very friendly and accommodating, and provided a lovely breakfast.

Authenticity, kindness and care. A very good experience for our first day in. Sri Lanka

Very welcoming , kind and caring hosts. Cees (you pronounce his name “Case, but not beauty-case “😂) has welcomed us very well at our arrival in Sri Lanka. He came to pick us up at the airport (with a very good price, better than Pick me and Uber). He let us sleep and they made breakfast for us even if it was very late :) he gave us a lot of useful information. Living in their house has been a beautiful experience for us, sharing their space and their day to day life was something I feel very grateful for. You feel like home. Also, you really can trust Cees, in Sri Lanka you always have to be cared because it’s unfortunately so common that if you are a tourist they charge you a lot more. Cees has been really fair and honest. We’ve also been to Negombo and we enjoyed the visit a lot. We went with tuc tuc (only 500 rupie) and we walked back in about 25 minutes by night. Safe place, lots of people on the street, illuminated…. Really good!

I loved the stay there.

The place is a real paradise. Fantastic garden with fish in the pond and birds, marvellous friendly and helpful owners. Good breakfast, good transportation to the airport. Wonderful room./

The family was super friendly, and nothing was too much. From very early morning pick up and allowing me a bed to sleep while my room was made ready. Breakfast every morning superb and kept me going till evening.. Also arranged a took took to take me on to my next hotel Would highly recommend a stay here

It was a lovely last stop on my 3-week trip!

The breakfast was great, the owners were extremely nice and arranged transportation as well as directions to the best food and shops. I really enjoyed and rested well before my trip back home. Highly recommended!

A cute authentic Sri Lanka place. Welcome feeling is very big and heart warmed. A nice and clean room. Good bed! Excellent breakfast with real coffee. If you need help or advice, Cees will help you. I recommend this lovely place.

Fresh fruits, helpful advises and quick wifi

Bed was very comfortable. I really liked that we could go outside directly from the room and there was a small sitting area and some space that I could use for morning yoga :) Owners are very kind and helpful. They gave us helpful advises on how to go to our next destination. Without them we would probably end up in overcrowded slow train instead of catching quick bus in the street nearby. Breakfast was delicious, with different fresh fruits. They even prepared for us takeaway breakfast when we were leaving at 5am. Wifi was amazing - we could work there without any issues.

Home is where the love is ❤️ beautiful people are good people and I am happy that we met them. From the first moment we felt very welcome and like at home. Amazing family and very helpfull. Cess came to pick up us at the airport with very warm and welcoming smile :) The room was clean and super big breakfast.Location few min from the restaurants and beach. Cess helped us to sort out all we needed for tuk tuk rental, licence as well as tuk tuk. We had tuk tuk for the best price on the island for over 20 days.Tuk tuk was like new, not a small problem. We had a great start of holiday full of reccomendations for our round trip. We highly reccomend stay in this lovely place with Cess and his family. I will definatelly come back and send all my friends there :) Thank you so so much for everything! Good luck, we miss you and Sri Lanka - paradise island ❤️
