Location (quick train ride to central London), price (excellent for London), delicious pub food, staff (did their best to accommodate my needs), quiet nights (pub section closed at 11:00 p.m.) and clean, crisp sheets.
Warning: do not bring heavy bags. No elevator, and staff not readily available to bring up bags to my room on the top floor, so I brought them up myself. Nothing wrong with this except it is not noted in listing and unless one has stayed in pub accommodations before, one might not be aware of this. However, there was a kind staff member who helped bring luggage down for my departure.
Also slackness in cleanliness--drinking glass in bathroom had been rinsed out but not properly cleaned--evidence of someone else's toothbrush/toothpaste in my glass, same with teacup in room, rinsed not washed. Either vacuum not working properly or carpet had not been vacuumed before my arrival and certainly not in the gap between the twin beds.
