The location was convenient for what we needed with local towns and restaurants close by. We loved the setting, pool, river and ability to go canoeing.
The coffee machine didn’t work well and we wasted quite a few capsules to get a coffee. We didn’t receive a very friendly response when we asked for another capsule so ended up buying some for ourselves, which is fine, but better if facilities work….
The shower was also not connected end to end so it spouted water outside the cubicle and soaked it.
In the large amounts of paperwork in the room, it states payment should be made in cash or bank transfer. While on holiday, we don’t tend to wade through paperwork, so this could have been made clearer before booking it on arrival. It delayed our departure and the host was quite grumpy with us for not knowing this :(
She was also grumpy with us if we didn’t give instructions for breakfast each following day. Again, it could’ve been made clearer to us this was needed.

The breakfast was lovely, home cooked and generous portions. The setting is beautiful - by a river with a large swimming pool.
Wouldn’t recommend for staying with a baby, as the rooms struggle to fit in a baby cot and there is a dog at the property. You need a car here as there’s not a restaurant on site so need to drive for supplies
