We were very grateful for the air conditioning, which worked well during extreme heat/humidity throughout our stay. WE also appreciated having an elevator for our upstairs room. The location was close to next door for the Signoria, and in ordinary times would have been within easy walking distance of the Duomo, but because of the beastly heat during our stay we resorted to taxis to reach most sites.
Travelers need to be aware that this is not a hotel with a front desk. It is a rented lodging, but when this is understood, the arrangements worked well, and the proprietor was helpful and responsive.

We loved the location. It’s was just around the corner from the Uffizi. There was a little coffee shop steps from the door that was always busy and had the most delicious cappuccino and pastries. It took three keys to enter our room which added a secure feeling.
