Lovely B&B with perfect hosts

10 / 10Outstanding·Oct 2026

Robert was extremely helpful & welcoming. We were made to feel really at home. Our bedroom and ensuite bathroom was spotless and had everything we needed. Breakfast every morning was excellent, plenty of choices right down to home-made jams. We would 100% recommend Brackness House to anyone looking for accommodation in Anstruther. It is also just a short walk down to the harbour.

We received a warm welcome from Robert and Catriona our hosts at this this lovely house.. Robert suggested places to eat. Our bedroom was luxury having dressing gown and slippers, a very nice hospitality tray and a superb ensuite with Sea Kelp toiletries. There is a very comfortable lounge for guests . Breakfast was delicious my husband had the full cooked and I had fresh fruit and the vegan option. Parking was in the private drive. We would love to stay again .

There wasn't anything not to like

Location

Dated, not luxury, glasses were dirty, musty smell. Sheets and towels need replacing. The outdoor entertainment room was disgusting. Only stayed one night out of two
