The property is spacious and even comes with access to your own private garden with table, chairs, and a swinging chair for outdoor meals or chill time. The kitchen was well stocked with olive oil, vinegar, and spices, and the owner even went above and beyond by welcoming us with watermelon and beers in the fridge. He was so kind in ensuring that we had everything we needed for our stay, including helping us set up activities. The village of Stanjel is cute (restaurant with terrace, arts stop, local honey stand, etc) with panoramic views over the valley and beautiful gardens from the former castle. It's a great base place for visiting wineries and exploring the area!
Warning for people with rental cars who want to take advantage of the free parking at the house: smaller cars do better as there are three particularly narrow points on the journey up the village to the house. We successfully did it with a compact SUV by driving very carefully and having one person get out of the car to help check the clearance on the sides; we did get faster each time and by the third time no one needed to get out. This should not deter you from renting this property (we had a fantastic stay).

De ligging is geweldig, zo rustig en mooi. Met fijne bedden en alles wat je nodig hebt in badkamer en keuken. Het restaurant in het kasteel is geweldig

Odlična lokacija, super razgledi. Apartma zelo čist in ima vso potrebno opremo. Zunanja terasa je odlična za zajtrk/kosilo z razgledom na okoliške doline. Lokacija je mirna in tiha, gostitelja pa zelo prijazna in pomagata z vsem kar potrebujete.
