Our host Vito was good-natured, friendly, and helpful. With phone translators, we had no trouble communicating at all. He gave us coupons for a good cafe close to the B&B for breakfast. The security-gated, on-site parking was a nice surprise, and the Internet connection worked great.
The person who confirmed our reservation said we would have a first-floor room but received a dim, ground-floor room instead with no explanation given. We were not told that there was a plumbing leak under the bathroom sink. I found out because I stored my toiletries bag there when we arrived, and that evening it was wet, along with items inside that had to be thrown away. Basics that you'd expect, such as cups/glasses, we had to ask for. The noisy air conditioner didn't work well enough to cool a tiny room, the bed was soft and squeaky, and there were no lamps on the bed tables. I booked this B&B based on good reviews, so perhaps our room was an exception, and we had bad luck, but we won't stay again.
