Lovely couple running the guest house very welcoming and friendly great food and comfortable room

Shower was a bit feeble

Great views, right on the seafront. Hosts were attentive and lovely. Felt very welcomed as a solo traveller

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful at all times. The property was clean comfortable warm and cosy and everything in the listing was available. Sea view was lovely and designated bathroom although not en-suite was perfect just for my personal use. Breakfast was excellent to start the day with good selection on offer.

There was nothing to dislike

We had a front room on the first floor with a nice view out over the sea. It was nicely decorated and had a new carpet.

Room was double glazed with some of them blown (steamed up inside the double glazing), and all badly covered with seabird poo. The en-suite was little more than a box, with just room to stand up. There was no shower gel or shampoo in the shower until we asked for it. No water in the room for the hottest summer on record. Immediately inside the front door was a notice asking us to take our shoes off, but it was not wet and we had not been on the beach. When we went to breakfast there was no menu. Asked what we wanted, we asked what they were offering, and were told "Nothing". A joke. My wife and I both wanted coffee and were brought a cafetiere for one. There was no trouble getting a refill, but it seemed a strange way to do it. Breakfast the first day was passable, but we were brought toast with butter but no preserves. Having asked for marmalade, we were brought a small dish with one teaspoonful of marmalade in it. On our second morning breakfast was better cooked, and we now knew that you could have more or less anything, but you needed to ask for it. We eventually got shampoo for the bathroom, but the look suggested this was something they did not expect to do.
