Nice choice for 1 night but not something special

Very nice atmosphere. It is clean and there is a/c. There is a nice courtyard to sit in and they let you use the kitchen - they also give you a good breakfast. Anvar and his family live in the house, & they are friendly and the kids are sweet, so it feels like coming home after sightseeing. Anvar can arrange tours as well - I did a trip to the mountains with his relative Shukur, who was very pleasant and a good calm driver.

The location was very convenient, 10 minutes walk from the subway. Clean, good breakfast, big lockers and 3 towels per person.

The stay started off nicely, but unfortunately ended on a very unpleasant note. The night before my departure, I asked Anvar about the best way to get to the train station and how early I should leave. The next morning, I called a taxi, but it took about 15 minutes to find a driver. When I was ready to leave, Anvar’s wife informed me that I had not paid for my stay. I was surprised because I genuinely believed I had already paid, as every other accommodation on my trip had collected payment at check-in. After checking my bank statements, I realized she was correct. I offered my credit card, but she insisted that it did not work and that I needed to pay in cash. I explained through Google Translate that I had sufficient funds, but I had no cash with me because I had been using my card throughout the trip. Meanwhile, my taxi was waiting outside and charging for additional waiting time, and I was concerned about missing my train. I explained that I would settle the payment as soon as I reached my next destination, and a friend who was still in town later paid the bill on my behalf. Unfortunately, instead of trying to understand the misunderstanding, Anvar sent me several messages through Booking.com accusing me of leaving without paying and saying that he had notified immigration and Booking.com. He later claimed that the breakfast attendant had seen me "running away." I found this accusation particularly upsetting, especially since the property has cameras and the situation could easily have been clarified by contacting me first. The entire situation could have been avoided if payment had been collected at check-in or when I mentioned the night before that I would be leaving early. Instead, the issue was raised at the last minute, while my taxi was waiting and I was worried about missing my train. What started as a pleasant stay ultimately ended with a stressful and frustrating departure that I believe could have been handled much more reasonably.
