Northgate House

This is our second trip to Northgate House this year. As before our room was on the ground floor as we had our dog with us and there are 3 rooms that the hotel uses for guests bringing their dog. It was great to be able to eat in the small side room this time instead of the bar area (which was a change since our last visit), plus the addition or a dog water bowl and treats jar and toys (much appreciated by our four legged friend). As per our last visit the room was clean with tea and coffee facilities, and shower and hair bits provided. The breakfast included is plentiful with cereal, fruit, pastries, yoghurts etc and you can have a cooked breakfast and pay extra if you wish. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. We had dinner on two of our 4 night stay and, as per our last visit, was well presented and good quality products. If there is one observation that could be made it would be the introduction of a 'special' to the menu which would give those staying for a longer period an extra menu choice.

Beautiful peaceful location. Clean room and lovely dinner.

We were only there for one night and would stay there again. However, the following morning there was no water for showers etc. This problem extended way beyond the hotel - the whole village was affected. Obviously this was out of the control of the hotel but unfortunate all the same.
