The room size and views were amazing. It is located in a very quiet area of Jiufen which was great.
While I called the location as a positive, it is also a bit of a negative - if you have to walk from or to the main road, you either have to walk on the road (which is fine when entering since it is downhill but quite an uphill walk when exiting) or take the stairs from the main road which can make it troublesome for people with luggage.
I am not sure if others had the same experience but no one helped us carry our luggage. I understand this is not something provided at all accommodations but since there were stairs involved within the property, it would have been nice to have someone give us a hand.
In terms of the room, the shower area could use some improvements like a towel rail and the soap and shampoo dispensers could be moved closer to the tub.

Absolutely love the location, the decoration in the house. It’s so gorgeous. The view, the tub, the convenience - after you get off the bus, it’s right across the street with 5 mins walk. So amazing

The room was spacious and well decorated and the view was phenomenal. Close to the town. Be prepared for about 600 stairs but worth it. The breakfast the next morning was tasty. Wonderful stay.

The location of the hotel was good with a balcony with views out to sea. It was not far from Jiufen Old Street. However to get there you had to walk up about 3 flights of steep steps - fine for us but not everyone.
When I booked there was no option to book breakfast despite the fact the description mentions a 'very good breakfast '. We asked about this when we arrived and were told it wasn't possible. There are no breakfast options in Jiufen Old St. This is not a good place to stay unless you don't mind not eating breakfast! Also, the staff were not at all friendly or helpful.
