New well done old ruin
The beds were extremely hard. As if they were bought secondhand from an old hotel.

The item is a gem in the middle of a rural location but a short drive to Tomar. Very quiet and well appointed. Fantastic swimming pool. Recommendations for local dining were welcomed
The hotel restaurant was closed during our stay but that would be our only ‘fault’. Having that option would have been great

The staff were amazing, professional, helpful & knowledgeable. The design of the hotel is nice & comfortable. Lots of original parts left standing. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area, fabulous to experience the real Portugal and the gorgeous Portuguese people. Lots of complimentary tea & coffee! A definite plus for us. Breakfast plentiful & tasty. About 15 mins drive from lovely Tomar.
In my opinion the hotel is a little tired in places. Not sure it warrants a 4* as advertised.
Liquid soap in shower, no other basic’s. The pool and pool area are really not a good place. (We booked for a pool) Rusty parasol holders & the like
We Would not use pool at all.
very uninviting with the electric cleaning robot working its was through the green tinge!
Restaurant only open weekends.
Gardens (once magnificent I would think) were a little tried up. Get that hose out!
