Gorgeous getaway in Queenstown! The perfect place to unwind!

Amazing location and wonderful view! Also love this part of town-close enough to be able to walk into town easily but far enough to be peaceful and away from the busyness of the centre of town,

Spectacular house and view. The fire places in winter were lovely, we especially enjoyed a night around the outside fire and the bedrooms bathrooms for all were lovely. It should however be made clear in the losting and when booking that one of the bedrooms was a bit separated from the rest of the house and accessed through the garage

The BBQ was really dirty and the gas bottle was empty. There was a spare gas bottle but we had to call to find out where this was and we feel the BBQ was an oversight it took us a long time to get it to a point where we could cook on it. We purposely booked this house as the family from UK really wanted a house with a spa pool. The rest of our trip we could t find houses with a spa apool so this house was our 'splash out, luxury house with a spa pool' unfortunately once we had arrived we were informed we could not use it which was very very disappointing. I understand things break and it's out of your control however some offer of compensation or other would have been nice as we definitely would not have booked this house if it was not for the spa.

We wished we could stay longer.

The view of course is amazing and we especially loved the open fire which is incredibly easy to light. And the spa pool with its own view of the mountains. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable. We liked that the king beds could be split in two as an option to suit older couples and singles. It was great to be welcomed by Mark, who had the place all warmed up ready for our arrival. The set up was ideal for three generations of adults to share and although we enjoyed Queenstown nightlife (especially Rata restaurant) we could have had a fantastic time just staying put.

Our over eighty year-olds stairs would have appreciated a house on one level but the stairs are wide, well carpeted with hand rails so not a big problem. The oldies couldn't use the shower in the master ensuite as it is over a bath so tricky to access safely but the view from this lovely big room more than made up for it and the family bathroom with a walk-in shower is right next to it.

Relaxing and views to die for

Views and level of comfort - everything was catered for! The heating was exceptional, from under floor, to heat pump to two fires (indoor and out).

Picture Perfect!

Great location, beautiful lake views. The property had an abundance of everything to make our stay was super comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating and we would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful place to refresh and destress

Amazing views, Huge space, comfy beds, spa pool was amazing once we heated it up 😁. Warm bathroom floors, great heating options and all the quaint outdoor spots. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Close to town but not walking distance, unless you want to walk up huge hills. Peaceful and refreshing

Decor may not be to everyone's taste. Spa pool was cold until we realized it wasn't turned up. Small space in bathroom downstairs.

We loved it.

Remarkable Escape was absolutely perfect for our group of 4 couples - Judi was great and Mark spent an hour showing us all that this beautifully appointed home had to offer. Beds (including the room off the garage which we stayed in and loved) were comfortable - the kitchen had everything one needs. We dined one night on the patio which is quiet and beautiful. The views are spectacular. The hot tub worked well. We walked to Queenstown on afternoon - its a hilly walk back. Parking is easy. The fireplace was simple and fun. It is an amazing value.
