Nice old building and spacious room right next to the river and short walk into town. Parking at rear with EV charging.

very nice an friendly hotel, many rooms with beautiful Loire view. We enjoyed it a lot, see the Loire from the bed or the sofa.
The rooms a renovated and the beds are high level, we slept very well.
The breakfast was better as expected, fresh pressed orange juice, fine (small) collection of local cheese.
Parking was safe behind the hotel at the Hotel parking lot, end of August the parking was free of charge.
In 5min footwalking you will find the city center of Gien with some restaurants.

The hotel is in a characterful old building in a nice location on the banks of the Loire. There is a large parking behind the building that gets locked at night. The room was of a fair size. The breakfast was acceptable. The Wifi is free and good (once you find out about it). The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but the town centre is only a couple of minutes walk away.
There was only one member of staff present throughout. The bar was understocked (only 1 type of beer available from a longer list). The en-suite was very dated with little in the way of hooks for towels, and when I closed the plug of the wash basin it got stuck so it quickly filled up with my soapy water that couldn't drain away. There was no info about the WiFi so I had to go down 2 flights of stairs again to ask the staff about this. No aircon and no fans provided so the room got very hot (it was over 30 degrees that day). Breakfast was limited. Overall I would expect more for the price I paid.
