Hotel Apacheta

VERY close to the beach, just outside of the main city. Didn't east breakfast, just the boxes - these were very tasty and practical. Possibility to make tea or coffee 24h. VERY good restaurant - we ate the dinner there and it was literally the best food we ate during 3 weeks in Chile. If you stay there - definitely go to the restaurant.

The hotel is a bit worn down - its okay now but in a year it will require a renovation. Especially the bathroom would need refreshing - I appreciate wood in rooms, but as a shower floor it is simply not hygienic, and the shower faucet was broken. It worked - but should be refreshed. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. We stayed for just one night so it wasn't a big deal though.

Great location, view, and vibe. Very accommodating.

Very comfortable evening in Arica - so comfortable we stayed for an extra night. We arrived early off the night bus and the staff were so accommodating in helping us check into our room early. The bed is maybe one of the comfiest I have ever slept in, with views of their private beach and ocean. The room was clean with outdoor space. We enjoyed watching many birds and the sunset. The breakfast was delicious and included ! It was also great that we could get tea, coffee and filtered water throughout the day and evening. Sports bar was close with decent prices, decent cocktails and quality food overlooking the ocean.

WiFi wasn’t amazing and the dinner was slightly overpriced. They also didn’t serve on a Sunday but you can walk along to promenade to some lovely options nearby. Don’t let this put you off though - the hotel is so restful !
