Rumah Kundun was without a doubt one of the most memorable places we stayed during our entire trip to Indonesia. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for.
The location is excellent—within walking distance of both the beach and the port, making it incredibly convenient while still offering a peaceful atmosphere.
What truly makes this place exceptional is the host. She is one of the kindest, warmest, and most caring people we have ever met. Her genuine hospitality made us feel less like guests and more like friends. She was always happy to help, gave great local recommendations, and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect.
The service here is simply outstanding. Every little thing is done with love and attention, creating an atmosphere that is impossible to forget. The rooms are comfortable, everything is clean, and the entire property feels cozy and full of positive energy.
If you're looking for more than just a place to sleep—if you want a place that leaves you with beautiful memories and makes you feel at home—Rumah Kundun is the perfect choice. We left with the warmest impressions and would happily come back again. Highly, highly recommended!

The staff was very kind and welcoming. Good location short distance from port.
The room is due for a refresh and more dated than appears in the photos. However, they do keep room and property quite clean.

I loved my stay at Rumah Kundun. The room was quiet and very comfortable, and you have free water refill. The wifi worked great, and no bugs in the bathroom (which was common in the places I stayed in the Gilis)
Kade and the staff were lovely and very kind.
Would definitely come back!
