Great location. We enjoyed the rural view from the small patio. Eclectic decor but at the same time old-worldly. Very comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Peter
Possibly a shelf of sorts in shower to put shampoo, sponges & facecloths on. Another higher towel hook close to shower exit

Lovely old cottage with beautiful rustic furniture. The bathroom was also rustic. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed and good bedding. A lovely fireplace in the room. The wood was supplied which was a huge plus. The shower had good pressure. The kitchen had a lovely table and chairs with a deep washing up basin. There was a dish cloth and dishwashing liquid. The utensils were very basic. There was a braai outside. The view outaide was gorgeous and so quiet. The sunset was worth the wait. The car had a car port. Overall loved the rustic old cottage and would recommend it.
The lack of cutlery glasses and overall kitchen utensils. Surely it does not cost much to provide your guests with decent matching cutlery, plates, mugs, glasses. 2 of each is not acceptable, I do not want to be using water and dishwashing liquid for 2 cups and spoons every time we have coffee. A few decent dishing up spoons and bowls would be great. How can any owner expect the paying customers to except such standards. The microwave was rusted and so badly we could not risk heating our food. It is disgusting and will make people sick. It was such a let down and these are very important issues. I dont want to become sick cause the owners do not want to spend a few rand on replacements and upgrades. The lace curtain in the room was torn which made the room feel tacky.

Peter, the host, was very pleasant on arrival. Brought us a heater and extra blanket. Bathroom was up to the standard expected in a farmhouse.
Certain essential items listed, such as a microwave and toaster, were not available. We avoided sitting on the couch in the lounge because it had several stains and grease marks. The TV was very small and the streaming channels offered very limited options (the better ones were pay channels). The headboard, although rustic, had protruding hinges that could be considered a safety hazard. There were no power points near the bedside tables for charging of electronic devices. There was no lighting above the basin in the bathroom particularly for shaving purposes. It was difficult to find the switch for the light in the lounge since it was at the far end of the kitchen. The power tripped early in the morning due to an internal fault. We weren’t able to reach the host for more than an hour. When we did reach him, the power was restored, but we were already about to leave. The cottage has enormous potential, but has clearly been neglected and we feel that we were short-changed and paid far more than what it’s worth.
