Great Base for sightseeing

Nice place for sightseeing around Wales, comfortable place provided with good equipment to use, clean and tidy.

Not a lot to not like to be honest the only things I would say was the PAT tests were out of date or at least the PAT stickers showing out of date The flour and food items in the cupboards are out of date The pressure of the water can be a little off but didn't really bother us too much as its spring fed Flys that come in through the windows we had 12! Come in but this we think was from the sheep. Front door a little stiff to lock and unlock

Short break to a wonderful location.

Loved the quietness, the standard of finish in the property, the dogs, everything! Location was great, just far enough away from civilization to be secluded but not so far to be inconvenient. The barn itself was lovely, felt like a comfortable home rather than rental accommodation and the owners were very friendly and welcoming, but respected our space and privacy. The photos don't do this place justice either!

Nothing major. The property is dog friendly as long as your dog doesn't like to sleep with you or get on the sofa, which ours does at home, so it was a bit of a pain having to constantly be on top of her to make sure she didn't go where she shouldn't. But I can completely understand why that would be a rule with some dogs being huge and fond of rivers! Probably would make mention of this on the property description, or make it more prominent if it already is. Other than that, perfect!

Idyllic cosy hideaway!

Swallow Barn is set in a beautiful tranquil location, offering wonderful views. The barn has been restored to a very high standard and is extremely well equipped. We had a lovely time and definitely plan to return!

Extremely relaxing, peaceful and comfortable

Beautiful location. Very comfortable cottage with everything we could - it was very well set up. Perfect for relaxing right there or for taking local walks or trips further afield.

Me and my partner had a great time staying in the Swallow Barn. Very secluded barn with great facilities. We loved the peace and quiet. I would highly recommend The Swallow Barn 🥰

Very quiet and relaxing. Lovely accommodation, with everything we needed. Would stay again!

Kate was there to let us in and show us around. She was very helpful with local information too.

Fantastic location, welcoming hosts, lovely cottage.

Picturesque location, spotless on arrival, Christmas decorations were a nice touch, great selection of games provided, charming and helpful hosts.

Issues with the shower but our hosts kindly made the bathroom facilities in the main house available to us so it turned out to be a very minor inconvenience.

Cozy comfortable cottage with beautiful far reaching views across the valley. Spotlessly clean with plenty of activities toys and games for the kids and toasty logburner with free logs. All of which came in handy as we had to weather storm Eunice and Franklin during our stay! Lovely hosts and very friendly dogs.

Idyllic place to stay, couldn’t be faulted

Absolutely stunning place - a perfect winter get away for us, better equipped and bigger than anticipated and a fabulous bath!! Can’t fault it and would definitely look to spend longer in the summer. Great base to walk and explore.

Beautiful location to escape big town rush. Hosts were really friendly and our dobby had a lot of fun running around with their 3 dogs. Definitely would recommend this place for gateway.

Perfect Country Hideaway!

Incredible location with such wonderful views and wildlife, beautiful house, friendly hosts, everything provided to a high standard, and 3 lovely dogs to make it even more perfect! So peaceful, just the place to recharge. We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back. Thank you !

June stay

Beautiful cottage, very remote and peaceful location. Handy having a downstairs toilet and it has been decorated tastefully throughout. A lovely space the hosts have created for families and guests.

Had difficulties working the shower and because the water ran slowly from the taps, it took quite a long time to fill the bath. Other than that, no problems at all!

Perfect getaway destination !

This is a perfect place to relax and unwind. The barn has everything you need for a comfortable stay ! It’s spotlessly clean, lots of family games, ping pong and snooker to play. Alternatively you can just enjoy the views with a glass of wine and bbq ( all is set for you outside). On a chilly night the wood burner giftware a the cosiest feeling. The owners dogs are amazing, so are the owners themselves: always there when you have a question and provide great recommendations for walks ! I would certainly like to come back one day !

A place to escape to!

Very well equipped and comfortable barn. Gorgeous surroundings. Helpful and friendly hosts, especially when we had a puncture. Remote location with walks from the front door. Fantastic red kites flying overhead daily. We loved everything about our stay and would definitely like to return.

We only booked for a week......could have stayed much longer!
