Que dire ! Tout était plus que bien mais en dehors du cadre exceptionnel ce que nous avons apprécié le plus c'est la gentillesse du personnel et l'incroyable générosité et bienveilllance du propriétaire et de sa femme .N'oublions pas le fait qu'en dehors de la position parfaite de cet établissement idyllique pour découvrir une petite ville réellement Philippine où un sourire est récompensé par 10 , le Old castle offre la possibilité de pratiquer ou s'initier à la plongée sous marine Fortement conseillé à Bohol

Grandioser Aufenthalt im Old Castle!!

In gut 4 Wochen quer durch die Philippinen der mit Abstand beste Aufenthalt. Gründe dafür sind die ruhige Lage, das Essen und vorallem der Chef Michael (Kölsche Jung) mit seinem Team. Das Zimmer war schön groß und das Bett bequem, außerdem gab es genügend Ablageflächen für Klamotten etc. Die Klimaanlage war grandios, sehr leistungsfähig und kaum zu hören. Die Nächte im Old Castle waren die entspanntesten und schlafreichsten des kompletten Urlaubs, da - wiegesagt - die Klimaanlage quasi nicht zu hören war und es im Umkreis auch keine Gockel / Hähne / Hühner gab...!!! Zimmer, Bad und Anlage sauber, da gabs überhaupt nichts zu meckern. Manchmal etwas wenig Wasserdruck beim duschen bzw. beim Hände waschen, aber der Chef Michael hat das sofort behoben bzw beheben lassen, wenn er darüber informiert wurde. Abgesehen davon... man ist dort auf einer südostasiatischen Insel... Da kommts halt auch mal vor, dass der Wasserdruck schwankt. Also überhaupt kein Problem..!! Lage direkt am schönen Strand, top :-) Im November zwar tagsüber leider Ebbe, Baden war nach einigen Metern "Spaziergang" aber trotzdem möglich. Hierfür empfehle ich (für Weicheier wie mich ;-) allerdings Aqua Shoes o. a., macht das ganze etwas einfacher. Tauchbasis mit dabei, macht Michael mit seinem genauso sympathischen Sohn (der ein Hotel ein paar Meter weiter hat), wurde von mir aber nicht genutzt. Essen auch alles top: vorallem das Chicken Curry war der Oberkracher und die Pizzen waren wirklich lecker!!!!! Großes Kompliment an den Chef Michael!! Ist einfach ein feiner Kerl!! Immer gut drauf und für ein Pläuschchen und / oder einen Witz zu haben. Auch sehr bodenständig, seine Berichte zu den Erfahrungen und Einschränkungen durch/wegen Erdbeben/Taifunen/COVID waren sehr interessant und auch beeindruckend..!! Abends / Nachts wurde es (wenn man wollte) auch nie langweilig, ALLE Musikwünsche wurden erfüllt und es war einfach nur ne gute Zeit!!

Location right on the beach They have great food and cold beer. My partner says Jamaica( if she told us a real name ) was an attentive waitress Side note: they only take cash, come prepared

A great find

Location is right on the beach and close to town, The owner is A good bloke ,He also cooks a great meals and serves cold beer. Happy Staff will return for sure

small but comfortable accommodation right on Anda public beach with a private terrace.

perfect place right on the beach, diving with beautiful coral walls and just a few minutes walk from the city center and the busstop. Michael is very helpful and tries to accommodate you as much as he can.

A few lounge beds on the beach would be great. The neighbours like karaoke parties in the weekend that can be very loud. I was lucky that the place hardly had any guests so the noise did not last long but otherwise I would not have slept very well.

It's right on a great beach and close to the center of Anda. Our room was comfortable although it needed some maintenance. All in all I'll go back.

Good small resort in great location.

Staff is very accommodating. The location is terrific.

Pillows were lumpy. The hotel shows some signs of water damage -- which was likely the result of typhoon Odette. The hot water for the shower did not function. (However, we did not report its issue to the staff). All in all, the property is very clean but it could benefit from a thorough updating/renovation.

beautiful stay in Anda

the location on the beach is amazing and the restaurant has nice pizza. the room was very clean and air conditioning was really effective Wifi didnt work in my room but is quite good when you are in the living room.

I witnessed the owner being quite aggressive to the other staff threatening to deduct her pay if she chips a plate. Personally I don’t want to see this and made me feel uncomfortable. also, I would have loved to have a fan in the room.

Good value here

Right on the beach . Good food and bar . Room facilities were excellent.

People talking loud in microphone at 4am . Sounded like coming from beach . May of been a one off .

We had a good time

The location is great, right next to the beach with a bar and restaurant on the property, with beach view! The staff members were all super friendly and open. The fruit shakes, pizzas and breakfast we had were delicious,

The room had quite the small window and is a bit dark if lit by daylight only. Our cabinet had dirt in it. The bathroom gave off a bit of a mouldy smell.

Great location. Very friendly owner. On the beach. Clean rooms. Can make coffee in room.

Nice Place to Stay on Anda Beach

Large, Spacious clean rooms located right on the beach. The filipino staff was friendly and helpful and arranged onward transportation for us. Maybe one of the best places to stay right on the beach unless you stay further south at some of the dive resorts.

Foreign management was not friendly at all. Could have cared less about you unless you were paying to dive with them

The property is right next to the beach and nearby cafe. It's a very lovely quiet place to stay

Lovely front desk lady who is very polite with questions. Seems to be hardworking and answers my questions well! Also the beach view is gorgeous! The rooms were also very clean, and the AC works fine :) will come back!!
