A magic chance discovery, we look forward to rediscovering!

We found this place by pure chance, a last-minute booking, and we count ourselves incredibly lucky that we did. Julia welcomed us when we arrived and made everything easy from the first minute. We also had the pleasure of meeting Jean Max, the owner, who told us about the history of the house and his plans for its future. Hearing him talk about it was one of the highlights of our stay. You can feel how much he cares about the place, and it shows in every detail. And what a setting. Old stones, entirely private, with grounds that are something else: cedars of Lebanon that are 350 years old and enormous, water fountains, and the secret monks' passages running under the wood. Our four children, all under ten, were in heaven. There is space everywhere for them to run and explore, and nothing we needed to worry about. The house itself is full of character and beautifully kept, spotless, and wonderfully peaceful. Julia and Jean Max, thank you both for such a warm welcome. We will definitely be back.

Lovely stay in a cosy well decorated place with friendly hosts.

The location and the charm. Very cosy, well decorated, well equipped.

There’s nothing to dislike actually. To reach the top floor, the stairs are a little tricky for tall and bulky people. :)

You feel very welcome in this beautiful guesthouse. Peacefull yet near the centre of Lyon.

We absolutely loved this guest house house! It’s surrounded by a peaceful park and just a short walk from the river, which makes it feel both quiet and close to everything at the same time. The atmosphere is romantic and relaxing — the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. Our room was cozy, spotless, and full of charm, with a beautiful view of the trees outside. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can tell they really care about their guests. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a peaceful stay in Lyon. We’ll definitely come back — it’s one of those places you never forget.

Nous avons été très satisfaits de notre séjour au Lyon Country House. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié sa situation, à la fois proche de la ville et dans un environnement calme et paisible. Quel plaisir de pouvoir se détendre au calme, bercés par le chant des oiseaux, tout en étant à proximité d’une grande ville. L’accès à l’hôtel est très facile et le personnel est particulièrement agréable, attentionné et accueillant. La chambre était très cosy, confortable et parfaitement adaptée à un séjour reposant. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la chaleur de l’accueil et l’atmosphère conviviale de l’établissement. Une très belle expérience que nous renouvellerons avec grand plaisir. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement !

L'accueil de Jean-Maxime fut très chaleureux, le domaine est magnifique, la chambre décorée avec goût, la literie très confortable et le petit-déjeuner délicieux! Allez-y les yeux fermés!!!

La vue plongeante sur la Saône depuis le parc.

L'accueil en langue anglaise et la rapidité de la réception. Même chose pour le départ. Nettoyage pas à la hauteur du lieu (cheveux dans siphon de la baignoire). Pas de poubelle dans la salle de bain.
