Camelot Castle Hotel

Location was exceptional, amazing position and views over the cliffs. The room was comfortable and very quiet. Furniture was a bit tired, but sort of added to the setting. Both dinner and breakfast were good.

The comedy shower. Small cubicle built into the room, which a large gentleman certainly would not be able to get in. The shower curtain only had four hooks, so if you pulled it one way, the toilet got soaked and the other way the floor flooded.

Very enjoyable stay in a wonderful hotel in a magnificent setting. Views are exceptional. The staff are very helpful.

The staff were all excellent. A beautiful setting overlooking the sea. A joy to be surrounded by so much art.

The shower in our room was a bit tight. A proper bathroom would have been preferable. Only a very minor quibble, though.

I like the location of the Castle to the various beaches nearby. I liked some quirky aspects of the building such as the antique-feeling elevator and the views from the rooms.

Curtains in the room didn’t cover the windows completely so the room was flooded with light from the morning sun which meant a relaxing holiday, we were awoken at 05:30/6am each day. The walls are terribly thin. The bathroom in the room is nothing short of a caravan bathroom - hard plastic walls, floors, ceiling, doors etc. No in room amenities besides tea and coffee making facilities, so was just as well we bought our own toiletries and hairdryer. Breakfast was nice but not worth £35 for two people, to which you had to pre book your slot when checking in. I understand, but I’m also not sure if I’m going to be hungry at 7:45am in two days time. Paying £400 for two nights was not nearly justified and when mentioning the issues such as curtains to the staff, they responded with ‘yeah they don’t close properly, do they haha’. No apology, no forewarning, nothing.
