About this cabin rental
Located in Hood Canal, this charming cabin for $375 per night is a great choice for your next break. Our cabin on Carney Lake is the perfect retreat for couples, families, a girls' or boys' weekend, scrapbooking getaway, or even group or corporate events. It is a fully functioning home, but tucked into the trees of the Olympic Peninsula with a beautiful view of the lake from the Adirondak chairs on the deck. It is quiet, cozy and welcoming. In the summer, the swim float is ideal for the kids' King of the Float contests or just to bask in the warm sun. There is also canoe to explore the lake in its entirety. There is a fire pit for s'mores and hot dogs and plenty of grass and beach to visit with friends, watch the kids in the water or simply enjoy the quiet. In the colder months, snuggle up on the big couch by the gas stove while reading, watching movies, tackling a puzzle or playing games. There are two bedrooms, but also two lofts. Each loft has a futon as well as additional mattresses. There are plenty of soft places to land. If relaxation isn't the only thing on your mind, we are about 20 minutes from the Bremerton ferries, taking you into Seattle for the day, or head south on Highway 16 to do some shopping and eating in Gig Harbor. Heading west just a few miles will take you to Hoods Canal, and more water and hiking adventures beyond that all across the southern Puget Sound and Olympic Peninsula. And five miles down the road is Trophy Lake Golf and Casting Club for the golf and fly enthusiasts. Whether you are here on business, pleasure, to see friends and family, or to get away, our retreat on Carney Lake will be all you are looking for. Our family has stayed here multiple times. It’s our fave for location, the lake, the deck, and ability to accommodate our large group.

We had a lovely time at this cabin. It was very comfortable and well stocked. We very much enjoyed going down the steps of the deck right to the lake. There were many kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe that we made great use of! The cabin was clean and slept our family very comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were plenty of towels for all our time in the lake. Dean and Carina were great and easy to get a hold of and extremely helpful. Check in and out was a breeze. It is located, nestled in the woods, but was only 25 minutes from Costco and many other stores and restaurants. We made many memories and had an absolutely wonderful time! Can’t say enough good about it!

Our daughter lives less than 10 miles from cabin, so we enjoyed great location with 2 other daughters and families to celebrate a grandsons birthday and blessed Thanksgiving. We traveled from Salem OR area. Please note, our son in law noticed the power line hitting the roof. Hazardous!

This was our third summer we’ve booked Pierce Cabin. We love this house and little lake. We always look forward to coming back and floating the water with our family. By far our favorite spot to getaway.

Proximity of the lake was so wonderful. There was a canoe and paddle boards for use. The kids swam and boated. Tons of good dvds and a well appointed kitchen. We had a great experience. We had to block the loft stairs because they were too treacherous for the littles (2 and 4 year olds).

We enjoyed the cabin; very comfortable for our family group of nine. It was well stocked with everything you need, just bring your clothes and food. Internet is a little sketchy; but it's nice the kids can't spend unlimited time on their electronics. They had a blast swimming, kayaking and we rented two sup boards.

We LOVED this cabin! It’s the quintessential lake front cabin experience you see in movies. Took pictures of the whole house so we could remember the layout. Two enormous lofts with room for plenty of kids. Stairs going down to a lawn in front of the lake and dock. Plenty of canoes/kayaks. Very cute fishing theme throughout the house. Well stocked bookshelf. We loved using the gas stove for heating. VHS player upstairs in the loft for the kids. One thing I will say, there are a lot of sleeping areas for kids or very fit, average sized adults. For any large/overweight adults who have any issues climbing ladders or sleeping in bunk beds, there is one sleeping area that is suitable for them which would be the queen bed on the ground floor which has a lovely view of the lake. My sister was supposed to be staying with us but decided to sleep at her house at night and visit during the day (she lives locally) as there was no place suitable for her to sleep. Overall, the stay was amazing. We just left a beautiful Puget Sound beach front house before staying at this cabin and I think the cabin was actually my favorite. Very quaint, intimate family feel and perfect for those Cold rainy Washington days. We didn’t feel cooped up but enjoyed the nostalgia of the Disney VHSs in the loft and the DVD collection in the living room for family movie night. Loved it! Would stay here again.

I would highly recommend this place . The only things was the grill was covered in Grease .It causes high flames even after trying to clean it all off . The lid is also bent so shutting it was hard. Other than that Perfect place

My family and I love this cabin. This is our 2nd time renting this place and we always leave with awesome memories. The cabin comes with kayaks that we utilized for the beautiful lake in front of the property. All in all it was a nice getaway that is close to home. We will sure come back.

If you are looking for escape from everyday reality, if you want to find some peace of mind and relax you have to come here! The cabin is beautiful, cozy and has everything to feel comfortable! It is also kids friendly which was very important for us since we came with 5 years old kid: he loved the games and the movies! The glory of the place for us was the location: the cabin is located a few steps from the lake and has a fabulous view! The privet beach with a fire pit and canoe, the deck with cozy chairs: everything was just perfect. It was a pleasure to spend a sunny day on the beach and it was also magical to seat on the deck at rainy day and just look at the lake (with nice cup of coffee... ). We enjoyed every minute of our vacation and we definitely will come again!

What a wonderfull place to breathe! Our kids didn't swim three days in our two week stay, only because they stayed with family on those days! Wonderfully taken care of property and home. The pictures don't do it justice, much bigger than we expected! So comfortable is this home, you might not want to leave, we didn't! Plenty of room for friends and family to stop in, or BBQ on the porch. Plenty of outside furniture for extra guests. The kids were never bored, lots of games, and even children DVD's for those nights they refused to sleep! They even had a sleep over with family in the yard, they put the tent up and watched the stars, told ghost stories, and had a blast. The squirrel let us watch him gather food for the upcoming winter, and the osprey made a point of flying around the lake twice to show off his catch. A mating pair of bald eagles took flight from the tree tops, only to perch on the top of a tree in front of the porch to find out who we were. Tree frogs kept finding their way into our son's hands, to his delight! The canoe was used to its full advantage, as my husband took the time to take every one out for a slow ride around the lake, so that they too might enjoy a moment to breathe. This home comes fully equiped, whether it be yourself, the two of you, or a full sized family, you only need to bring yourself, and remember to relax, enjoy, reflect, laugh, decompress, and most importantly, yes BREATHE! We will return to this home, it was more than perfect, and the owners are wonderfull to work with!

I held my annual scrap booking getaway weekend with 10 ladies at this wonderful Lake Carney home, how delighful! It has all the amenities we needed, and the view is calming and restful. We had a great time in the winter, and can only imagine how delightful it would be in the summer.The owners were gracious and accommodating and we felt welcome the minute we walked in.Great place, great people, I highly recommend it!
