David and Ana are wonderful hosts! You can tell that David loves doing this and is in it for all of the right reasons. Good location a block from all the cool stuff, but far enough not to be too loud.

This accommodation feels like a home away from home
Getsemaní is a fantastic location but can be super busy. However this accommodation is right in the centre of it but still feels nice and quiet when you go to bed. The host David is so welcoming, kind and helpful
It was also amazing value for money for a private room in this location

The couple,who runs the place is extremely friendly and supportive.I felt very welcome.The location in lively Getsemani is great, because the hostel is in a quiet street.Very nice rooftop terrace.

The hostal is in a great location and the staff is friendly and always has a smile on their face. The AC works well in the rooms which is SO needed.
I don’t quite understand why this hostal has such great reviews. We have stayed in MUCH better places for the $45/ night than this one. The room is so small and the bathroom is even smaller, to the point where you can’t even sit straight on the toilet because your knees would run until the wall. You also have to use the sink from an awkward side spot because the toilet is touching the sink. The pillows are very flat and the bed it quite hard. There is no tours or information about Cartagena offered. There are also quite a few sketchy looking people loitering around the entrance most times we entered at night (it is locked during the night so still felt safe). I would definitely say save your money and stay anywhere else.
