Knowledgeable, friendly English speaking staff, excellent breakfast, great location across from ferry dock. Wonderful retro/backpacker vibes. Comfortable tatami mats with futons in the Kurosawa room. Separate but private bathroom a few steps down the hallway. Private outdoor space with lover’s swing
Need to be in good shape to stay here; steep steps and low beds. Amenities functional but basic

beds were so comfortable. Air conditioning was perfect. Staff was so helpful
It would be nice not to have to exit your room to get to the bathroom. But that is my only complaint
