This hotel offers a truly unique accommodation experience, as it has its own bicycle racing track. Even from the outside, it is clear that you get something special for your money.
The reception and restaurant staff are exceptionally friendly. The room is rather compact, but modern and well equipped. The walk-in shower is a particular highlight. There is also a small balcony offering a great view of the nearby bay and the racing track.
The restaurant serves genuinely delicious food at reasonable prices, with excellent service. Guests can also try their luck at the adjacent betting facility. Even as complete beginners, we were well supported by the friendly staff.
Only downside, the backside of the tv definitely needs some cleaning.

My son is into cycling, so this was the perfect hotel, right atop a velodrome and filled with cute biking decor. It's a brand new, very clean hotel, with gorgeous views of the sea from the upper floors. The staff is friendly and helpful. One young man at the desk even helped me figure out how to use the laundry machine, which I appreciated since the writing on the controls was all in Japanese and I speak and read only English.
It was a bit pricey, but all the hotels on or near Naoshima seem to be a bit pricey. It's not that close to the ferry terminal or the train station in Uno, but the cab only cost 1100 yen (6 bucks about). I wished I could have seen one of the bike races, but they weren't competing the weekend we were there.

Most positive about our stay here was the breakfast, with excellent French toast. On the other hand, there was no muesli/cereal of any kind with the yoghurt.
The keirin theme has been elaborated very well throughout the hotel.
Location may not be ideal (a bit of a track to get into town), but they have a shuttle bus in the mornings, and you can get your 1000 yen taxi fare refunded in the afternoon.
The baths are large and at a good temperature.
Rooms are very small (as advertised). 12m2 is indeed not much.
Pillows are very firm.
Rental bicycles are rather expensive and se have a few gear shifting problems.
