Several lights didn’t work, heatpump didn’t work very well - took ages to warm up, no milk for our cuppa, no hand soap, body wash or shampoo in the containers!

Location adjacent to Trafalgar Park was ideal for the evening Rugby game. It was also easy walking distance into the CBD which was good to and had a bus stop outside the entrance. Quiet location set back from road.
1. I booked the available option of an upstairs unit. When we arrived we were told this had been changed to downstairs and could not be reinstated. Being mid winter and on the ground level the floor was exceptionally cold despite the excellent heat pump air heating.
2. I had requested two thin pillows. I was notified by Booking.com that my request would be met at no extra cost. When we arrived the room contained 4 very thick pillows. When I enquired staff told me that dealing with these requests was not handled by them and these were the only pillows they provided.
3. The Hand wash/body wash dispensers and the hair shampoo in the bathroom either had not been refilled or were blocked. Hard thing to complain about when you are in the shower!
4. The room was dark with no ceiling lights and the two wall lights not working (maybe bulbs removed?). One bedside lamp worked and one free standing lamp stand with two bulbs.
5. Bathroom door could not be closed into frame only jammed partly shut. Bathroom floor covering showed signs of substantial water damage all around the toilet and in another area of the floor and adjoining base of wall. Both were not an inviting look.
6. Microwave oven had either been mounted in the wrong place or a model chosen with the door opening the wrong way, making it difficult to place items in or take items out because the door opened into your face.
