The owners of Elegance were so friendly and welcoming and it was great to have the use of a communal kitchen and fridge and a terrace. The room itself and the ensuite were clean and comfortable and there are fresh towels every day. The breakfast here is excellent and very good value at 20 lari. Just be aware you need to order it the night before.

The guesthouse is right in the town centre, near 2 supermarkets, and right behind the police station 😂 for those who play Pokemon Go, it sits on about 4-5 stops and a gym, awesome!
The owner also kindly picked me up from the Azerbaijan border for 80 GEL, which was very helpful.
As it’s right in the town centre, it requires an uphill climb to the usual popular sightseeing viewpoints etc. You can’t have the best of both worlds! But if I were to pick again for a one night stay, I would still definitely pick this guesthouse again.
Also there was a bit of noise late in the evening from rowdy passerbys who were inconsiderate, but this is nothing I can fault the guesthouse for.
Personally I would have liked a slightly firmer bed mattress, but again that is a personal preference.
