The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The property has the charm of a traditional French farmhouse and the hosts were polite and welcoming. We appreciated that they prepared breakfast at the early time we requested (6:30 am). The bathroom was spacious and the overall stay was quiet.
The main photo on Booking is taken from a different side of the property, so on arrival it wasn’t immediately obvious we were in the right place. The room was very warm when we arrived during a hot day and, although there is no air conditioning (as stated in the listing), there wasn’t even a fan available. Some maintenance details could be improved: the bathroom blind had broken the previous day and wasn’t fixed until we mentioned it, and the bathroom door didn’t close properly. Breakfast was good but rather modest, and because it was prepared before we arrived there was no opportunity to ask for small extras (for example, butter one morning or an additional coffee capsule). The location is peaceful but very isolated, with no nearby restaurants or services, so it’s worth planning dinner in advance. Overall, the property has character and is well kept, but we felt that a little more attention to detail and guest experience would make a noticeable difference.

Anne and her husband were most welcoming and engaging as was the shaggy canine guard who took to us like his own..The property provided absolute peace and tranquility, the suite of rooms, the breakfast room and the mature grounds. The traditional French breakfast was generous and tasty including the farm made goats cheese, and apple juice which we purchased to take home. We were attending a nearby historic car gathering so the ample secure off road parking was appreciated. Highly recommend.
Nothing, it all suited us fine.
