Good stay

Location was great, close to the Lovers Leap waterfall and Pedro's tea factory inbetween the tea fields. Room was spacious.

Would have preferred to have tea making facilities at hand, to combat the cold evenings. Bathroom, (hot) water pressure is not so high. Breakfast, would have liked juice and/or any other option beside tea/coffee

Very good

The manager was very kind and gave us some extra things we missed. Good breakfast. A wide resting room with TV beside the room.

I don't like the shower system but it seems to be the same everywhere.

Nice location

Very nice lication, you can see the highest point in Sri Lanka. We have tried the dhal curry in brakfast and it was very nice.

A great view with amazing host

The host of this place is perfect. He is helpful, warm-hearted, but most of all a great talker. We had a nice conversation with him about anything really. The breakfast was good. Our room had a nice view on the mountain and tea fields. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The only problem probably is a location for those who want to go to the city center, but the amazing view definitely compensates everything.

Superb

It was a lovely stay here. The location is very good but since there is a lot of space to accommodate people, it was less personal than other stays. Might be also an advantage for some. The tea with milk with the view was so relaxing!

Really pretty and calm area with view on mountain from our room, delicious sri lanka food and helpful stuff.

Peaceful and Relaxing

The hosts were wonderful and very attentive. The breakfast was also very good. To top it all off the views were great. There is Pedro Tea within walking distance as well as the trail to Lovers Leap. We almost didnt go to the tea shop because it had mediocre reviews, although we dont know why as it was as good if not better than others with good reviews that we also visited. You could just as easily stay at Avon and acces waterfalls, hiking and tea without the central city area.

Wish we had mosquito nets 🙂

Beautiful Homestay

my wife and I had a great time at this homestay even deciding to extend our time in Nuwara Eliya because of how much we liked it. The property is in a beautiful setting with great views from the balcony. The owner is incredibly nice and helpful and made our stay even better. If you ask they can do dinner and it was some of the best food of our trip. Highly recommend!

Exceptional

Such lovely hosts, Anandan and his family went above and beyond for our visit. From recommending best places such as Lover's leap waterfall (you can't miss it) to helping us organise a tuktuk and motorbike hire. Room very pleasant and comfy bed, ate lunch, dinner and breakfast and was all delightful. The home cooking was so tasty and such good value for money (like 600 rupees for dinner) The views from the balcony of Pidurutalagala and the farm fields and rest of Nuwara Eliya was stunning! One note though is that due to covid you have to get special permission from the Ministry of Defence to to up Pidurutalagala. You can do it via the Sri Lankan tourism board but we didn't have time (not the hosts fault!) Easily accessible from Nanu Oya, where we got the train from Ella (25 minute tuktuk or taxi drive) Thanks again!:)

Exceptional

Awesome place! Located so beautifully in the peaceful hills with a very nice view. The room is pretty and clean and the host is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely a recommendation!

Great value for money!

I must admit that Avon had the best beds I had during my whole stay at Sri Lanka! Super comfortable mattress, I slept like a child. Rooms are quite big. Hot water is available. Host and his wife very super welcoming and helpful.

Wonderful, relaxed stay

My host gave me a card for my birthday which was a lovely thought. He was very informative about transport, getting around.

The weather was cold but the bedding was excellent and warm.
