The host (I'm so sorry I've forgotten her name) was so lovely and welcoming, even walking with me into town and giving me some great tips for food etc. The room is basic, sure, but it has everything you need, complete with a kitchen, and the first really good pillow I've had in my 3 weeks of travel so far, and a comfortable bed mattress. I'd recommend it for budget-conscious travellers who still like their own space, the option to cook their own food, and have their own bathroom.
The things that stop this being a 10/10 are certainly not bad if you're just prepared:
- thin blinds that block the sun (okay if you have a sleep mask)
- loud, but only intermittent, traffic noise (no problem at all as every traveller should already have earplugs)
- single bed size (honestly not a problem for most but worth mentioning; also still long enough)
- duvet/comforter/quilt is also single size, which I didn't love
- if it's hot, the walk up the hill to get back is a real biatch, but it's still not far from the old town
- for 2 people it could be quite snug, with not really any room for your bags, but for 1 it's perfect

I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful my stay was and, above all, how incredibly well I was treated. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and cared for a member of the family who was already in touch before arrival. Everyone was so kind, warm-hearted, generous and always willing to help with anything I needed. Their recommendations are really good!
The location is perfect: in a quiet area, yet only about a 10-minute walk from the city centre, supermarket and bakery. The room was spotless, comfortable and had everything I needed.
But what really made this stay special was their people. They made me genuinely feel at home. I felt genuinely cared for, not simply like a guest. This place was for me, a beautiful example of the kindness, warmth and hospitality of the people of Bosnia. I truly couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Sarajevo and I think it made the difference. I came to Sarajevo as a traveller and left feeling that I had made friends. I will never forget their kindness and generosity.

The room was clean and neat in general and the place was located quite close to the main attractions. AC and wi-fi worked fine. The host was friendly and helpful.
Not enough space for a couple with a child but we managed. Parking was on the street which wasn’t a big problem but the streets there are narrow and generally it’s sometimes risky to move around.

The room was really well cleaned, there was also a washing machine that is very useful. The position is near the center. Also the parking is good.
Unfortunately the pillows were really uncomfortable, we had a really difficult time sleeping.
In addition, the host entered the house more than once without letting us know. We know that she didn’t do it with bad intentions, because she is really a kind person, this made us uncomfortable. A suggestion could be to warn the guest before entering.
