About this cottage rental
Situated just 75 minutes from Christchurch International airport, 15 minutes drive to Methven the local ski town with a wide array of cafes and restaurants, and just 5 mins walk to Staveley village coffee shop and station store. Great base to explore the Ashburton Gorge area with Hakatere conservation park, Lake Camp, Lake Clearwater, Lake Heron and the breathtaking landscape of the "Lord of the Rings" movie site at Mt Potts.

Amenities were exactly right for the location being close to well-known mountainous walking, hiking and tramping trails. The log fire was a life-saver on a cold night. The host was welcoming and helpful.

Nick's cottage is an ideal spot to enjoy the stunning surrounding countryside. Muz was a fantastic host. The cottage has everything you need including a fabulous log burner. We will be back agian.

Lovely wee converted cottage out the back of the owner's property, with a little stream and trees behind. Good fire and beds, alhtough we didn't get to use them as I had come down with a bug. Hope to be back again as it's a perfect location.
