From the kindness and warmth of the owners, the professional staff, the gorgeous food, the accommodation and environment, and the energy of place, it was a wholesome experience.
There was nothing to point out.

The location, the room, the staff and the site were all lovely. We went for a beautiful walk around the farmland. The Mountain Bar across the road was a great place to hang out. The whole village was very peaceful.
The restaurant was a bit like being on a school trip. We were the only people there not part of a tour group.

This was a well located resort for the Chai Lai Orchid elephant sanctuary and activities. The guest house has air conditioning in their rooms and indoor bathrooms (which the Chai Lai Orchid hotel does not), Overall, everything was "decent" and the value was great.
The resort had a lot of bugs / spiders both around and inside the rooms, and their appeared to be little / no staff onsite most of the time. Both when checking in and checking out, the local drivers had to go and find someone to assist, and the options for a local bar were to walk across the street.
