This is a wonderful hotel, centrally located in an attractive town. Everything is excellent - clean, comfortable, lovely food, helpful staff. Our room was large with everything thought through - an excellent shower, good bedding, comfortable beds.
There is plenty of street parking nearby, and some lovely walks around Friedrichstadt from the front door. We had dinner in the restaurant (a 5* schnitzel!) and breakfast was a very good buffet with meats, cheese, breads etc, and eggs and bacon on request.
One of the nicest town hotels we have stayed in for a long time and good value too.

Zentrale Lage an einer Kracht mitten im idyllischen Friedrichstadt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, der Service ausgesprochen aufmerksam und nett. Sehr hundefreundlich - auch beim Frühstück war unser Dackel in den historischen Räumen willkommen.

Great location, off the main square and by the canal. Nice view too. The restaurant gets busy in the evening, to get a table on the terrace book in advance.
Although the staff were friendly, the place was clearly understaffed - this is not a place for anyone in a hurry. The room was a little small for the price.
